Robin Stearns – Preschool Director and Head TeacherFPCC Staff

Robin finished her certificate in Early Childhood Education at DVC in 2000 and went on to graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA in 2003 with a major in Liberal and Civic Studies and a minor in Montessori Thought. She has worked for eleven years as a Montessori preschool teacher and has been involved as a volunteer in Children’s Ministries for fifteen years, including one year as the Interim Director of Children’s Ministries at First Presbyterian Church.

Dawn Feegrado-Assistant Preprimary (3-6) TeacherDawn

Dawn is a mother of 3 children.  Her children attended a Montessori school when they were younger sparking her interest in the philosophy.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bombay (India) in 1993.  She began her preprimary training at the Montessori Teacher Education Center – SF in 2013, completing her certificate in June of 2015.  Dawn started with us as an intern.

Cristina Mario-Head Toddler (2’s) Teacher

CristinaCristina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colegio De San Lorenzo (Philippines). She underwent training in the Montessori Methods and Philosophy in 2004 at Casa Dei Montessori and became a Preschool Montessori Teacher. She moved to the U.S.A. to receive her AMS Montessori training.  In 2014 she completed her degree in Early Childhood Education and received her  American Montessori Society credential at Montessori Teacher Education Center – SF.  She loves working with children so much she continued her education through the center to complete her Montessori Infant Toddler credential in 2016.  She is also an active parishioner of the Christ the King Parish as a member of the music ministry. 

Ronda Deplazes-Assistant Toddler (2’s) Teacher

RondaRonda was born and raised in this area and along with her husband have raised their 2 children in Concord. Ronda has been a teacher and a parent for more than 30 years and feels very grateful for this great gift given  to her from the Lord.  She received her AMS Preprimary teaching certificate in 1994 from Contra Costa College and continued her education at other local Colleges where she has studied Infant Toddler education and Special Education.
